About Us
Gary L. Pinkston, President

Gary Pinkston founded Meridian Pacific, Ltd. in 1988 as Principal Owner/President. Meridian Pacific, Ltd. is a privately owned vertically integrated corporation primarily involved in the investment and development of real estate in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Texas, and Kansas. The development activities of the company include over 150 projects including hospitality, retail, residential, and industrial projects.

Recently, the firm has been involved in the redevelopment of Snowmass, Colorado which includes some $3.5 Billion of development including hospitality, residential, fractionals, condominiums, and retail. In addition, Meridian Pacific is actively looking for similar resort developments throughout the western United States, Hawaii, and Mexico.

Meridian Pacific, Ltd. has offices in San Francisco, California; Aspen, Colorado; and Honolulu, Hawaii. These offices are actively involved in the development, design, engineering, construction and financing of projects in their respective areas. Prior to the formation of Meridian Pacific, Ltd. Gary Pinkston was co-owner of The Walker Pinkston Companies. The Walker Pinkston Companies was a major design and building contractor that eventually evolved into one of the premier developers of neighborhood shopping centers throughout California. The firm developed some 55 shopping centers over a 10 year period.

From 1993 to 2009 Gary Pinkston was the financial advisor to the Hawaii Carpenters Union for all real estate matters. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Hawaii and California, and also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Kansas State University.

Carol Y. Brack, Executive Vice President

Carol Brack joined Meridian Pacific's Honolulu office in August, 1990. She currently serves as the Property Manager for the company's $47.5 million Longs/CVS anchored Waipahu Town Center, an asset acquired in 2002. This 11.4 acre property includes 34 tenants, and 154,410 gross leasable square feet. The very hands on management and leasing of the site has also included construction over-sight of over 60,000 square feet of tenant improvement build-out. She is responsible for the daily operations of the Shopping Center, and maintains a high profile in community events and promotions for the Center.

During the earlier years of Carol's employ with Meridian Pacific, she was involved with property management and leasing services for three shopping centers and one commercial/retail center in Honolulu, previously owned by Meridian Pacific and its partners. In addition, she was responsible for the administration of the real estate portfolio under the Hawaii Carpenters Financial Security Fund, consisting of approximately $32,000,000 of construction and permanent financing. Carol also maintained the administration of all due diligence activity and closings of multi-million dollar commercial refinance transactions throughout the state of Hawaii.

Prior to joining Meridian Pacific, Carol held positions with Waikoloa Land Company as Office Manager, and Personnel Director for Blackfield Hawaii Corporation. Both positions also included detailed involvement with commercial real estate transactions and property management.

Carol holds an active Real Estate Salesperson license and notary license in Hawaii, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Notary Association.

JaNay Wyss, Executive Assistant

JaNay Wyss joined Meridian Pacific in January, 2012 after graduating from Emporia State University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Currently, she is the Executive Assistant at our Honolulu office.  There she aids in leasing, tenant relations, and property management.

David M. Iwamoto, Assistant Manager

Expansion of Meridian Pacific provided the opening for David, who serves as Assistant Manager to join this firm. The ten-year position has offered opportunities to be involved in observing the intricate details comprising real estate transactions and property management. He continues with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and expands his knowledge of corporate affairs.
